James has spent over 20 years maintaining older housing stock and historic buildings across Brighton and the surrounding areas. Over that time, he saw the same problems coming up again and again — damp, mould, moisture issues that never seemed to get properly fixed.
He also saw how many damp proofing companies got it wrong. Expensive treatments that didn't last. Quick fixes that weren't fixes at all. Tenants and landlords stuck in a cycle of complaints and call-outs.
"I knew there had to be a better way. Most mould problems aren't complicated — you just have to find the source and fix it. That's what I've been doing for years. When I saw the industry failing to do this properly, I knew I could do better."
James is a City & Guilds Dewpoint trained contractor in mould remediation and has completed the NICEIC domestic ventilation course.
